After fantastic weather all weekend, the skies decided to open up and release a steady rain all day Monday in downtown Burlington. On an already tight and technical criterium, the wet weather brought an extra element of stress to a day that often sees a shake up on both the overall lead and the sprinter's classification.

Stage 4 features a technical 6 corner course around downtown Burlington, Vermont. The course starts with an uphill straightaway leading into a hard left onto the brick of Church street, before 4 tight corners shoot into a steep downhill, then a sweeping high speed left heads to the finish.
Church Street is a nationally registered Historic District and has been named one of the Great Public Spaces in America. Church Street features a pedestrian walking mall, paved with beautiful bricks and known for its historic buildings, restaurants, walkway, and sense of community. This makes it a great area for racing and a lively crowd often builds as the day goes on.
